GAINS BY JESUS, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those dealing with mental health disorders and people recovering from chemical dependency and alcoholism find personal strength and physical recovery through Christ.  We do this thru personal fitness and mentorship. We have a mobile ministry unit designed to set up a fitness style boot camp indoor or outdoor at any group home, halfway house, detention center, rehabilitation facility, runaway shelter, or any offsite location. We help these individuals discover healthy habits using personal fitness and physical training to cope with stress, addiction and depression.  Most importantly we help these individuals push their physical limits and build their self esteem. This gives them the clarity to make good decisions and increases their natural serotonin levels to help battle depression.  

Gains By Jesus, Inc. was founded by Gregg Stegman, who is a recovering alcoholic. Gregg spent his childhood battling mental illness, depression, alcoholism, and even chemical dependency like his father before him.  His parents divorced when he was five and he spent most his childhood living back and forth between his mother and father's house. As a teen he lived in runaway shelters, group homes, foster care, rehab, and detention centers. As an adult he became a functioning alcoholic, had some success at work, and married twice.  In 2020, the bottom fell out and Gregg nearly lost his wife and children. He quit drinking on January 26th 2021. Sobriety, love, and faith in the Lord kept his family together.  It took three years to undue the damage he had caused but he persevered. Today he is an accomplished automotive professional, mentor, entrepreneur and business owner.  Most importantly, he lives free of his alcohol addiction. He and his wife use this platform to help others who still suffer in silence.

The organization has no means of generating income.  The gym equipment used for the mobile fitness camps is donated by individuals, other charities, local gyms and third-party organizations.  Please feel free to donate your used gym equipment.  All donations accepted.  501(c)3 receipt will be provided for any donation of $250 value or more.
